Installers

Self-hosted & on-premise.

Deployment packages for running Alcea on your own infrastructure. SaaS customers don't need these — your environment is fully managed.

The Windows installer extracts and installs the product on your system. Once installed, a Fit.exe is available in your Start Menu to launch the application — you then connect from your browser, which should happen automatically the first time you run it.

Solaris / Linux

Unpack the tar into a directory (e.g. FIT) and run java -cp fit.jar Fit — prefix with nohup to keep it running after logout. The console prints a URL (typically http://server:10000) to reach the GUI from your browser.

IIS integration

Running Alcea behind Microsoft IIS? Drop default.asp into your IIS virtual directory and configure it to handle 401/404/405 errors — it proxies all requests through to the Alcea Java server. Edit fitAddress and fitPath at the top of the file before deploying. Full step-by-step (virtual directory, error pages, request/ASP limits and troubleshooting) is in the FAQ → “How do I forward IIS to Alcea?”

IIS ASP Proxy (default.asp)

Classic ASP reverse-proxy script. Forwards IIS requests to the Alcea Java server running on port 10000. Requires WinHTTP 5.1 (included in Windows Server 2003+).
