May 15, 2002: Government On-Line & City of Ottawa Standing Offer


Alcea has been selected as a supplier of Informatics Professional Services for the Canadian Federal Government's "Government On-line" (GOL) initiatives and has also been awarded the City of Ottawa’s 3-year Standing Offer to provide services to City departments on an as-and-when-requested basis.


April 15, 2002: TeKnoWave


Alcea becomes a corporate partner with TeKnoWave. Supported by a coalition that includes Canada's Aboriginal leaders, Willis College of Business and Technology, community centres such as the Odawa Native Friendship Centre, Aboriginal leading IT companies such as Donna Cona and public education such as the University of Winnipeg. TeKnoWave is Canada's first national program whose goal is to develop 1000 Aboriginal information technology (IT) professionals who are capable of applying information and communications technology in support of Aboriginal economic and social development goals.

Alcea Technologies hosts a car show for local businesses and individuals to help the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. Check out the details.


March 2000: "Save Our Sens" Promotion

During the month of March, Alcea Technologies did its part to keep the Ottawa Senators in the nation's capital. Check out the winners.


February 28, 2000: Alcea makes the Branham 250

In late February, the March 2000 issue of the National Post Business magazine hit the shelves. This edition included the 7th annual Branham 250 report which ranked high-tech companies with specialties ranging from software development to information technology consulting.

The report also listed the "Up & Comers: The Companies To Watch For" in which Alcea is proud to be included.



December 23, 1999: Snowsuit Fund

Alcea Technologies supports the snowsuit fund by organizing a fund raising campaign. Through generous donation of time by Alcea employees, they were able to raise $1,121.57 to go toward clothing that will be given to children under 13, whose families are in a limited financial situation.


August 11, 1999: 2nd Annual Golf Tournament

Alcea Technologies held their annual golf tournament at the Emerald Links Golf Course.



May 29, 1999: 2nd Year Anniversary

Alcea Technologies Inc. held a bowling party to celebrate their 2nd Anniversary. This fun filled event was to thanks all those who made the past year a success. Numerous prizes were awarded along with trophies for the best Bowler and Best Team. (Photos of the event to come)


May 23, 1999: Canadian Tulip Festival

Alcea Technologies once again participated in the annual Canadian Tulip Festival. Alcea entered a beautiful boat in the Flotilla Event decorated with silk flowers in corresponding with the theme "Just Between Friends" (Canada/US). (Photos of the event to come)



February 1, 1999: Partnership with Informix Canada

Alcea Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce its partnership with Informix Canada. As the newest member of the Informix Solution Alliance Program, Alcea's Informix Services division will provide related consultation throughout Canada.


December 12, 1998: Christmas Party

Alcea Technologies held their Corporate Christmas party at Hartwells. This evening gala of dining and dancing was enjoyed by all. See photos of the event.


November, 1998: Shepherds of Good Hope

Alcea Technologies held a Charity Raffle for the Shepherds of Good Hope Christmas Hamper Program. This eight-week event raised funds to feed families in the Ottawa-Outaouais Region with Christmas food baskets and toys for their youngsters. Approximately $4000 was raised for this cause. Thanks to all who participated.



Summer 1998: Newbridge Golf Tournament

Alcea Technologies one of the sponsors for the Newbridge Golf Tournament, held at the Manderly Golf and Country Club. Alcea donated the Men's and Ladies Closest to the Pin Award.


July 11, 1998: Alcea Participates In HOPE Beach Volleyball!

To help raise money for H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Everywhere), Alcea partners entered the Corporate Challenge, facing keen competition from all takers. Check out our photos, soon to come!


Summer 1998: Nortel Network Golf Tournament

Alcea Technologies was the proud sponsor of the Nortel Network Golf Tournament, which was held at the Canadian Golf and Country Club. Prizes were awarded to the Longest Drive in both the Men's and Ladies categories.



Summer 1998: Revenue Canada Golf Tournament

Alcea Technologies sponsored the Revenue Canada Golf Tournament held at Canadian Golf and Country Club. Alcea donated the Men's and Ladies Closest to the Pin Award.


Summer 1998: 1st Annual Golf Tournament

Alcea Technologies Inc. held its first annual Corporate Golf Tournament for employees, at Emerald Links Golf and Country Club in Manotick. See photos of the event.



May 1998: Canadian Tulip Festival

May 16, 1998: 1st Year Anniversary

Alcea Technologies Inc. celebrated their 1year anniversary with a beautiful outdoor picnic at Vincent Massey Park. The festivities were enjoyed by both young and old.



May 3, 1998: Alcea Volunteers at Le Tour Nortel

Alcea Technologies is set to volunteer at 1998's Le Tour Nortel. Alcea staffers will be on hand to distribute refreshments and to cheer on the participants in support of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).



April 16, 1998: Informix User Group Created

Alcea Technologies sponsored the 1st Ottawa/Carleton Informix User Group Board of Directors meeting on April 16, 1998.

The Ottawa Carleton Informix User Group is the only group of its kind in Canada. It is a forum for Informix, 3rd party companies, Suppliers, Informix clients, Informix professionals, and consulting agencies to collaborate and share information. We are hoping to expand this group to Montreal and Toronto in the near future.

June 26, 1997: Golf Tournament

Alcea Technologies Inc was proud to sponsor the Nortel Golf Tournament. Senior Consultants Robert Lacasse and Phuoc Ho were on hand to hand out trophies for the winning teams. A fun day for all!

Founded by Senior Consultants Chris Justus, Phuoc Ho, Sue Norton, Brad Mills and led by President Robert Lacasse, Alcea's mandate is to provide hi-tech solutions to our clients. And our solutions are as diversified as our clients: whether they be temporary personnel, in-house software development, marketing, or training.
