  • Database backup and recovery procedures to determine the best strategy based on the following:
    • allowable down-time per application
    • allowable data-loss per application
    • hardware (disk space) availability or attainability
    • utility/software (RAID Technology, Export/Import, Archive Log Mode) availability or attainability
      
      
• Database installation and configuration
  
  
• Database maintenance, including:
  • establishing methods and performing procedures to manage database activities
